Milo Spiritual Life

Milo Spiritual Life is unique in the sense that students lead in a variety of ways in all worship services. Don't be surpried to find students giving worship, leaning a focus group, preaching a sermon, leading song services, giving special music, playing a part in a skit with a spiritual emphasis as well as counseling and encouraging their peers to "Seek One Thing." Come to Milo with a heart of worship and you will find many opportunities to share the love of Jesus with others. One student said, "I like the many ways Milo develops our leadership skills."

The Milo Spiritual Life pages will tell you more about Milo's spiritual philosophy and activities.

Milo Academic Life

Milo academics range from AP classes through all high school core classes to technology and classes in the art and music. "Milo has a great student-teacher ratio. The teachers spend extra time assessing each student's strengths and weaknesses, and they try to meet the student's need in the best possible way, which makes it fun and easy to learn!"

The Milo Milo Academic Life pages tell more about Milo classes and requirements.

Physical Life

"Our academy owns over 450 acres free for students to roam. There are many trails we use for hiking, biking, or horseback riding. It's amazing to get out in God's raw creation." In addition to the outdoors, Milo has a good sports program, and encourages a healthful lifestyle with its vegetarian food service. Recreation time gives everyone an opportunity to be active at the river, the gym, the hills, or at the sports court and fields. "I liked varsity soccer a lot, because it was fun going to other towns to play."

The Milo Physical Life pages tell more about the Milo Mustangs sports program and many other important aspects of a student's physical life at Milo.

Social Life

Milo Academy social life includes life in the dorms, banquets, Saturday night activities, clubs, and the Mustangs Student Association. Students develop relationships in classes, at rec, and in all of their every day activities. Focus groups meet every day and provide a small group setting for students to develop relationships with staff and other students."Milo is a place where students feel like they can be themselves and have fun learning—a place where relationships grow, not only with God, but also with other students and the awesome staff!"

The Milo Social Life pages tell more about Milo social policies and activities.

Vocational Life

Without the student work/study program, Milo would not run as smoothly. Students work on maintenance and grounds crews, in the dorms and cafeteria, and in many more departments on campus. Students learn and develop skills as they earn. Milo industries offer jobs at minimum wage. "Work is great."
