Milo Eligibility for Student Office

Milo Adventist Academy students are encouraged to run for office in any of the campus groups and clubs.

Eligibility requirements will...

1. increase the number of students who gain leadership experience.
2. enable students to perform in their responsibilities more effectively.
3. guard against students' lives becoming unbalanced to the detriment of their health.
4. more effectively teach time management.

To Run for Office

Campaign petitions are available from the sponsors of each student organization and from the Registrar. Students who wish to run for office establish their eligibility by bringing a completed campaign petition to the Registrar, whose signature will confirm their eligibility. It is their responsibility to return the completed campaign petition to the sponsor by the filing deadline. Students who have proven eligibility will be placed on the ballot by the sponsor.

Recommended Responsibility Load

Milo Academy students are encouraged to carry no more than one major responsibility, or one major and one minor responsibility, or two minor responsibilities during any one school year.

Qualifications

To run for and to remain in office students must have and maintain the following:

Minimum GPA is for the most recently completed semester grading period and any subsequent quarter grade. Failure to maintain the above eligibility conditions will result in loss of office for the remainder of the year.
